A PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE TERM NEWSPAPER PRESENTED TO INSTITUTE PERTAINING TO EDUCATIONAL EXPANSION AND FILE FORMAT, UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION, WINNEBA, IN INCOMPLETE FULFILMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS PERTAINING TO THE AWARD OF BACHELOR IN EDUCATION.
This part shall be taking a look at the background to the study, declaration of the trouble, purpose of the analysis, research concerns, significance in the study, delimitations, limitations and organization with the study.
Qualifications to the study
The value of research in today's world is usually overwhelming and then the education system throughout the world has geared itself to provide the required training in scientific skills in order to meet this growing challenge.
Many countries have altered themselves by poor feudal type economies through the raising application of technology and technology. China and India happen to be two spectacular examples as they have grown to be economic and industrial electrical power houses and several techniques compete efficiently with produced countries. Any country which in turn does not give the needed assistance to the study of science usually lacks development. Through science, bridges are made, vehicles made, roads built and knowledge expanded.
In spite of the relevance of science mentioned above, the pupils of Mampamhwe M/A JHS 2 have a problem in studying and understanding science. Three aspects of natural science and one used science (Agricultural science) had been combined to form the basis for the study of scientific research at the jr high school. Along, they are generally known as integrated science.
During the end-of-term examination, lower than 40% from the thirty five (35) pupils inside the class barely get above the average indicate of fifty (50) in integrated research.
The pupils mindset that, included science is difficult and poor ways of teaching may be counted as factors which may have facilitated poor people performance of the pupils in the subject. Not using the scientific method of fixing problems in the teaching of scientific challenges and fixing practical questions raises an eyebrow about how pupils can easily grasp the concepts of the subject. With pupils living in a community which major occupation is farming (cocoa to be precise) and students themselves engaging in farming actions, it would have served being a good ground for the usage of agricultural scientific research and biology which forms part of integrated science. Yet this seems not to be the case with all the pupils.
With the significance of the study of research to the improvement of the pupils' mind and life as well as the community as a farming 1, prompted the researcher to analyze and look into ways of enhancing the study of included science for JHS 2 .
