SUMMARY

With the relieve of their book Millennials Rising: The Next Wonderful Generation, Neil Howe and William Strauss defined a new generation of american citizens with a combination of traits that set these people apart from prior generations. Thought as special, sheltered, selfconfident, forced, achieving, typical, and team-oriented, the Millennial Generation joined the school environment starting in 1999, and higher education teachers and administrators must recognize a crucial ought to understand ways to support success in the classroom using the learner's new cultural attributes. This phenomenological qualitative analyze was done to gather the lived experience of 12 Millennial school learners from being a mere proprietary college in the Midwest, and use the themes that emerged as a result research to produce suggestions for becomes the current American collegiate program. Themes from this research consist of: (a) Millennials are unique to their parents; (b) Millennials have self-assurance; (c) Millennials are pressured to achieve; and (d) Millennials are impacted by technology.

DEDICATION

I use had the pleasure of working in education for most of my adult life. Teaching, coaching, and dreaming with young people is usually something I believe I will constantly do. This kind of dissertation is good for those the younger generation who impacted my life and so deeply with the laughter and tears, their struggles and dreams, their very own successes and failures. I actually spoke with dozens of students about their experience in advanced schooling, and each one particular opened up and shared tales with me that helped me to find insight into what like to be considered a young person in college today. This research is specialized in all of those students, young and old, who helped me to higher understand the university student of today. I hope that this exploration can help to produce their advanced schooling experience a lot better.
